In AAES, the listeners find themselves in artificial and imaginary environments that completely surround them. They are confronted with unfamiliar objects, beings and materials in these surroundings. Forces, movements and events of uncertain origin cause these environments to rupture and constantly reconstruct themselves. The entities that inhabit the landscape are constantly in flux. Materials and objects reveal their structural and physical potential for change. The entire environment is unstable and in a constant state of metamorphosis.
